This is our Budget choice in Pattaya. It suits travellers who want a cheap, air-conditioned room as a base and who like being close to bars, restaurants and nightlife. Guests single out the central position on Soi Buakhao and a friendly, helpful team.
It is not for everyone. Some guests report mould, dust or insects in rooms, even though daily housekeeping keeps things tidy for most. If you are sensitive to that, or you want a beach on the doorstep, look at our other two picks. Light sleepers should also note that noise has not been assessed, and a street known for nightlife can be loud.
Location and getting around
The hotel sits at 312/84-85 M.9 Soi Bua Khao Nongprue Banglamung, in the Pattaya South area as listed by the provider. Guests give the location 9.1 out of 10, mainly for what is around it after dark.
The beach is not close. Jomtien Beach is about 3.8 km away, roughly 48 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. The Sanctuary of Truth is about 5 km, around 63 minutes. Both are far to walk, so plan on public transport or a taxi. Walking times have not been verified, so check a map for your own routes.
What guests say
With 618 reviews and a score of 8.3 out of 10, the picture is fairly clear. People like the location near nightlife and food, and they describe the staff as friendly and professional with a warm welcome.
The main complaint is cleanliness. Daily housekeeping is mentioned positively, but a share of guests mention mould, dust or insects. Within the eight hotels we compared, this score ranked joint 7 of 8, so it is not a top performer on reviews. You are paying for price and position, not polish.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults was €18.63 a night, so roughly €37 for both nights. That was 82% below the sample median of €103.16 a night. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
For comparison, our Best Value pick, Baywalk Residence Pattaya (3 stars, 8.1), came in at €60.83 a night. Our Luxury pick, Arbour Hotel and Residence (5 stars, 9.1), was €84.44. The gap is large, so if your budget allows, the Luxury pick scores clearly higher for a few more euros than you might expect.
Listed facilities are a restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Breakfast is not confirmed in the data, so check whether your rate includes it.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Pattaya. Maleez Lodge had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside, which is how our Budget pick is chosen. A 3-star rating, an 8.3 guest score and a 9.1 location score kept it above the line.
It earns its place on price, not on being the best-reviewed hotel in the city.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Read recent reviews for comments on cleanliness and pests, ask for a quieter room if you need one, and confirm the cancellation policy before paying.
