Parkhotel Quellenhof Aachen is a five-star hotel in Aachen Mitte. Its star rating is estimated by the accommodation, not official. It suits couples and families who want full facilities: the property lists a gym, a spa, a pool, a restaurant, family rooms, a garden, a terrace, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Pets are flagged too.
Skip it if you expect a polished, modern five-star. The main complaint is that the facilities are ageing and that cleanliness does not always match the rate. If you mainly want a central bed, our Best Value pick costs about €11 less a night.
Location and getting around
The address is Monheimsallee 52. Guests rate the location 9.1 out of 10.
The Palace of Aachen is 0.8 km away, about 10 minutes on foot. Aachen Cathedral and the Palatine Chapel are both 0.9 km, about 11 minutes. That puts the main historic sights within an easy walk. These are straight-line estimates, so the real route may take a little longer.
What guests say
The score is 8.7 out of 10 from 4,252 reviews, joint 1st of the 6 eligible properties we compared. It has both the top score and a large review base.
The breakfast gets the most praise: a rich buffet with fresh egg stations, served in a spacious hall with access to the terrace. Guests also like the professional, attentive staff and the warm welcome. The criticism is about value: some guests question the five-star rating because of ageing facilities and cleanliness issues at high rates.
