This is our Budget pick for Canberra. It suits drivers, families and travellers who are happy to use light rail or a car to reach the main sights. Family rooms and free parking are both listed.
It is a 4-star hotel with a restaurant and a fitness centre. For the lowest price among our three picks, that is a decent package.
Skip it if a walkable sightseeing base is the priority. The big national attractions are all more than 40 minutes away on foot.
