Regency House is worth booking if you want the best-rated hotel we found in Belfast, with free parking and a quiet setting near the university and a short walk from the centre. Skip it if budget matters, since it costs more than twice our Best Value pick, or if you want to be right by the train station.

Couples on a special trip, travellers who value calm over nightlife and drivers will get the most from it. The property lists free parking, family rooms, a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk. Breakfast options include continental, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.
Price-conscious travellers should skip it. And if you want to step straight out into the busiest part of town, The Flint Hotel has a more central address.
Location and getting around
The address is 11&12 Upper Crescent, in the Queens Quarter. Guests describe a quiet setting near the university and parks, a short walk from the city centre. The location score is 9.5.
By straight-line estimate, Windsor Park is 1.5 km, about 19 minutes on foot. Belfast Castle is 6.2 km, around 78 minutes, and Stormont Castle is 6.9 km, about 86 minutes. Both castles are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi. Walking times are estimates and have not been checked.
What guests say
Regency House scores 9.6 out of 10 from 329 reviews, the top score of the 13 hotels in our Belfast sample. Guests describe the staff as friendly, attentive and professional, with a warm welcome, and they like the quiet location.
Our data shows no recurring complaint. That is a good sign, but with 329 reviews the sample is smaller than at our other two picks, so read recent reviews before you book.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was €285.60 per night, about €571.20 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes. The sample median was €116.67 per night, so this is well above the typical Belfast rate.
ibis Belfast Queens Quarter, our Budget pick in the same area, was €71.58 per night with 8.5 and 3 stars. The Flint Hotel, our Best Value pick, was €117.16 per night with 8.9 and 4 stars. You pay roughly €168 a night more than the Flint. What you get is 5 stars, the highest guest score in the city sample, free parking and a quieter setting.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 13 eligible hotels in Belfast. Five-star hotels get priority for the Luxury slot, and Regency House is an official 5-star with the best score in the sample, 9.6. That made it the clear choice.
