This is our Luxury pick for Foligno. It is a 4-star hotel, chosen because no five-star option qualified and it cleared our 8.5 score threshold for four-star picks. It suits couples and travellers arriving by train who want to walk to the historic centre.
Family rooms, a garden, a terrace, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi are listed. Pets appear in the property tags, but the policy is not confirmed. No restaurant or parking is listed, so drivers and anyone wanting dinner on site should check first.
Location and getting around
The address is Via Fabio Filzi N.2. Guests rate the location 9.6 out of 10 and say the train station and historic centre are a short walk away.
Palazzo Trinci is 0.4 km away, about 5 minutes on foot. Foligno Cathedral is 0.5 km, about 6 minutes. Sassovivo Abbey is 4.4 km away, about 55 minutes on foot, which is far, so plan on a taxi or public transport for that one. All walking times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
The score is 9.2 out of 10 from 555 reviews. On review score, it sits joint 1st of 7 eligible properties in the provider sample. The review count is lower than at some larger hotels, so each review carries a bit more weight.
Guests praise the location and the staff, who are described as friendly and professional, with a warm welcome and helpful assistance.
Noise is the one recurring issue. Most rooms are described as quiet, but some pick up traffic noise or noise from the heating system. If you sleep lightly, ask for a quiet room.
Price compared with our other Foligno picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) was €152.90 a night. The sample median was €99.00, so this is a clear step up. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Hotel Le Mura, was €86.80 a night with an 8.6 score and 3 stars. Our Best Value pick, City Hotel & Suites, was €93.50 a night with an 8.8 score and 3 stars.
Relais Metelli costs about €60 a night more than either. For that you get 4 stars and the top guest score of the three. Whether that gap is worth it depends on how much the extra comfort matters to you.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 hotels in Foligno. Our Luxury slot looks for five-star hotels first; when none qualifies, a four-star hotel must score at least 8.5.
Relais Metelli cleared that bar easily with 9.2, the joint best review score in the sample, and a location guests rate at 9.6.
