This is our Best Value pick for Aberdeen. It is a four-star hotel on Guestrow in the city centre, with a guest score of 9.0. The property lists a gym, family rooms, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and it is tagged as pet-friendly.
It suits rail travellers, business visitors, families and anyone who wants to walk to shops and restaurants but sleep somewhere quiet.

Location and getting around
Guests describe the setting as central and quiet, near shops, restaurants and the train station. The location score is 9.5 out of 10, the strongest figure on this page.
St Andrew's Cathedral, Aberdeen is about 0.3 km away, around 4 minutes on foot. St Mary's Cathedral, Aberdeen is about 0.6 km, roughly 8 minutes. St Machar's Cathedral is about 2.4 km, around 30 minutes on foot, so some will prefer public transport or a taxi. Walking times are straight-line estimates.
Guests mention that parking comes with fees. Where you park is not confirmed in our data. Ask the hotel for current rates.
What guests say
The score is 9.0 out of 10 from 1,603 guest reviews, placing it joint second of the 13 hotels in our sample.
Guests like the central yet quiet location, and they praise the staff as friendly and professional, with a warm welcome and helpful service.
The one recurring complaint concerns value. Room rates are seen as competitive, but parking fees push the total cost up. If you arrive by train, this does not affect you.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was 159.12 euros per night. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, ibis Aberdeen Centre – Quayside, is a three-star at 60.95 euros per night with a score of 8.3. Our Luxury pick, Marcliffe, is a five-star at 217.50 euros per night with a score of 9.1.
So Residence Inn sits in the middle. It scores almost the same as the Marcliffe for about 58 euros less per night, and 0.7 points more than the ibis for about 98 euros more. Breakfast options listed include continental, full English or Irish, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and buffet. Whether breakfast is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 13 eligible hotels in Aberdeen. The Best Value slot balances guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price. It is not necessarily the cheapest hotel.
Residence Inn scored well on all three counts: a 9.0 from more than 1,600 reviews, a 9.5 location score and a price well below our Luxury pick.
