Budget travellers get the most out of it. At about €26 a night as a reference price, it costs a fraction of our other two Sanur picks, and guests describe a central yet quiet position within a short walk of shops, restaurants and the main street.
Families and anyone who wants some extras at a low price should also take a look. The property lists a spa, a pool, free parking, family rooms, a garden and a terrace.
Light sleepers with fussy backs may prefer to spend more. Beds are the main complaint. Our Best Value pick, The Alantara Sanur, scores 9.2 but costs nearly four times as much.
Location and getting around
The address is Jl. Kesumasari, No. 4, Bali. Guests say shops, restaurants and the main street are a short walk away, and the location score is 9.3.
The listed landmarks are in Denpasar and are far. The Bajra Sandhi Monument is 4.9 km away, about 61 minutes on foot, the Holy Spirit Cathedral is 5 km away, about 63 minutes, and the Bali Museum is 7.2 km away, about 90 minutes. Plan on a taxi or other transport.
Beach appears in the provider's facility list, but that does not confirm a beachfront location or a walking distance to the sea. Ask the hotel how far the nearest beach is. Walking times here are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
From 1,729 reviews, the hotel scores 8.4 out of 10.
Guests praise the location, central yet quiet, close to shops, restaurants and the main street. They also like the staff, described as friendly and welcoming, and helpful with cleaning and local arrangements.
The main complaint is the beds. Some find them comfortable, but others describe mattresses as hard, squeaky or old.
Price and how it compares
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) was €25.82 a night, about €52 in total. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
That is 43% below the sample median of €45.16. Our Best Value pick, The Alantara Sanur, was €97.21 a night with a score of 9.2. Our Luxury pick, Hyatt Regency Bali, was €161.62 with a score of 9.1.
The trade is clear: you save about €71 a night against The Alantara Sanur, but accept a lower score and a 3-star hotel.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 10 eligible hotels in Sanur. Stana Puri Gopa is our Budget pick because, after setting aside the upscale choice, it had the lowest eligible reference price.
Its review score shares sixth place among the 10, so it is not a top scorer. Its strength is the combination of price, location and a listed pool and spa.
