This is our Budget pick for Bali. It is a 3-star inn in Downtown Kuta with a guest score of 8.2 out of 10 from 3,189 reviews, joint 22nd of the 30 eligible hotels we compared.
It suits couples and friends on a tight budget who want a pool, a garden and a terrace without paying resort prices. Free parking is listed too.
Skip it if breakfast is a big part of your stay. Guests describe the buffet as filling but limited in variety. Families should note that family rooms are not listed.
Location and getting around
The address is Jl. Benesari, Gang Poppies II, in Downtown Kuta. The location score is 9.0. Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
Legian is 1.9 km away, about 24 minutes on foot. Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is 10.5 km, around 131 minutes, and the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is 10.9 km, about 136 minutes. Those two are far, so you will need a taxi or other transport.
Guests describe the setting as central and quiet, near the beach, shops, restaurants and the airport.
What guests say
Location and staff get the most praise. Guests like being close to the beach and shops while staying on a quiet lane, and describe the team as friendly and helpful with daily requests.
Breakfast draws the main complaint. The buffet is filling, but variety is limited and portions are sometimes restricted.

Why it made our top 3
We compared 30 eligible properties in Bali. After reserving the upscale choice, Suka Beach Inn had the lowest eligible reference price, which is how our Budget slot is filled.
Its score is the lowest of our three Bali picks, but an 8.2 from more than 3,000 reviews, a 9.0 location score and a pool make it a sound budget option.
