The hotel works for business travellers and visitors with reasons to be in Bad Godesberg, and for anyone travelling with a dog. Guests say staff give a warm welcome to people and pets alike. A gym, a terrace and free Wi-Fi are listed.
It is less suited to sightseers who want the main Bonn sights on foot. It also may not feel like a bargain: it is our Budget pick, but Bonn is not a cheap city, and guests find breakfast and parking charges expensive.
Location and getting around
The address is Bernkasteler Straße 2, in Bad Godesberg. The location score is 8.1 out of 10.
Distances are straight-line estimates. Kunstmuseum Bonn is about 2.7 km away, roughly 34 minutes on foot, which is already beyond an easy stroll. Bonn Minster (5.2 km, about 65 minutes) and the Beethoven House (5.5 km, about 69 minutes) are far. For all three, plan on public transport or a taxi.
What guests say
The score is 8.5 out of 10 from 1,623 reviews, joint second of 7 eligible properties in the provider sample.
Breakfast stands out. Guests describe a fresh, varied buffet with hot options, cold cuts and gluten-free choices. Staff are called friendly and helpful.
The complaint is about value for extras. Room rates are seen as reasonable, but the breakfast and parking charges are considered expensive. Budget for both if you need them.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) were about €158.01 a night. The sample median was €164.12, so this is only about 4% below the middle. These are not live quotes; check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, Collegium Leoninum, was about €167.35 a night with an 8.6 score and four stars. Our Luxury pick, Kameha Grand Bonn, was about €250.75 a night with an 8.0 score and five stars. The gap to Collegium Leoninum is under €10 a night, for a slightly higher score and one more star. Compare both for your dates before deciding.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible hotels in Bonn. Sunday Hotel Bonn is our Budget choice because it had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale pick was reserved. Prices in this sample were tightly grouped, so the saving is small.
Its 8.5 score from more than 1,600 reviews means the low price does not come with a weak rating.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is included and what parking costs, since guests flag both as pricey. Ask about the pet policy and any fee if you bring a dog.
