This is our Budget pick for Augsburg. It suits budget travellers, drivers and anyone who mainly needs a reliable bed and breakfast. Guests rate it 8.1 out of 10 across 4,983 reviews. Pets and parking appear in the hotel tags.
Skip it if you want to step straight out into the old town. The cathedral is more than 30 minutes away on foot, so you will rely on the bus.
Travellers who are particular about cleanliness should read the guest comments below. Housekeeping is the main weak point.
Location and getting around
The hotel is at Eichleitnerstrasse 9. Guests give the location 8 out of 10 and mention supermarkets and bus stops nearby, with quick connections to the city centre.
The Basilica of Saints Ulrich and Afra is about 1.9 km away, roughly 24 minutes on foot. St. Peter am Perlach is about 2.6 km away, around 33 minutes, and Augsburg Cathedral about 2.9 km, close to 36 minutes.
Those last two are over 30 minutes on foot, so plan on public transport or a taxi for them. All walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
Location is praised for practical reasons: supermarkets close by and bus stops with quick links into the centre.
Staff get good marks. Guests describe a friendly, helpful and accommodating team at reception and in service areas.
Cleanliness is the main complaint. Rooms are generally tidy, but some guests report mould in showers, dust and missed daily housekeeping.
Price and what you get, compared with our other two picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) were €81 a night, about €162 for the two nights. That is 38% below the sample median of €130.90. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, Leonardo Hotel Augsburg, cost €137.70 a night, 4 stars, with a guest score of 8.8. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Maximilian's, was €215 a night, 5 stars, with a score of 9.0.
The Super 8 saves you about €57 a night against the Best Value pick. The property lists free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace, and a continental buffet breakfast is available.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible hotels in Augsburg. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice is set aside, and the Super 8 was it.
Its score is shared position 5 of 7, so it earns its place on price. Still, 8.1 from nearly 5,000 reviews shows a consistent, if basic, stay.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check whether breakfast is in your rate.
Given the cleanliness comments, read recent reviews and check how often rooms are serviced during your stay.
If you are driving, confirm parking availability and any fees, since parking is tagged but not detailed. The same goes for the pet policy.
