Yes, this is an easy recommendation if you want a central, top-rated hotel in Buenos Aires for well under the city median, a few minutes from Teatro Colón. Light sleepers should ask about the air conditioning and heating units, which guests often call loud.

This is our Best Value pick in Buenos Aires. It suits first-time visitors, couples and culture lovers who want to walk to the main downtown sights and still sleep on a quiet street. A gym, a spa, family rooms, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi are listed.
Skip it if you are very sensitive to noise inside the room. Double-glazed windows keep the street out, but guests say the air conditioning and heating units can be loud. If you want full luxury service, our Luxury pick is in a different league, at a very different price.
Location and getting around
The address is Suipacha 780, downtown. Guests rate the location 9.7 out of 10 and say it is walkable to the Obelisk and shops while sitting on a quiet street.
By straight-line estimate, Teatro Colón is 0.3 km away (about 4 minutes on foot), the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral 1.1 km (about 14 minutes) and Plaza de Mayo 1.3 km (about 16 minutes). All three are within an easy walk, though real routes are a bit longer than straight lines.
What guests say
Across 1,124 reviews the average is 9.3 out of 10, joint first of the 18 eligible properties we compared. Guests praise the central yet quiet location and a friendly, professional team that gives helpful recommendations and assists with luggage and bookings.
Noise is the mixed point. The double glazing works against street sound, but the air conditioning and heating units are often described as loud.

Why it made our top 3
We compared 18 eligible properties in Buenos Aires. Our Best Value pick balances guest score, number of reviews and price. Tanguero shared the top score, has more than a thousand reviews and was priced at less than half the median. Few hotels line up that well on all three.
