The Grove Cromer
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
It is a good choice if you want a quiet 4-star stay in leafy grounds a short walk from Cromer beach, with a full English breakfast on offer. On our reference dates it was not the cheapest of our three picks, so compare prices before you commit.

The Grove Cromer is our Budget pick in Cromer, a 4-star property at 95 Overstrand Road. It suits couples and families who want calm surroundings, friendly staff and an easy walk to the beach and town centre.
The listing includes a pool, a restaurant, free parking, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, a garden and a terrace.
Skip it if you are fussy about mattresses. Some guests found the beds comfortable, while others said they were too hard or too soft.
Location and getting around
Guests rate the location 9.4 out of 10 and describe beautiful grounds a short walk from the beach and town centre.
Cromer Lighthouse is about 0.5 km away, around 6 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate.
Thorpe Market, about 5.7 km away, and Baconsthorpe Castle, about 11 km away, are far: roughly 71 and 138 minutes on foot. Use public transport or a taxi for those.
Beach appears among the provider facilities, but that does not confirm a beachfront position or a measured walking distance.
What guests say
The Grove scores 8.6 out of 10 from 819 reviews, joint second among the 3 eligible properties in the provider sample.
Guests like the quiet setting and the gardens, and they describe the team as friendly, welcoming, helpful and attentive.
The mixed point is the beds. Comfort reports vary from one guest to the next, with some mattresses called too hard and others too soft.
Price and how it compares with our other Cromer picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were €133.47 a night, about €267 in total, exactly the sample median. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Here is the honest catch. On these dates, our Luxury pick, Cromer Country Club, was cheaper at €118.95 a night with a higher score of 8.9. Our Best Value pick, Links Country Park Hotel, was €145.72 with a score of 8.1.
The Grove became our Budget pick because it had the lowest eligible price once the upscale choice was reserved. If Cromer Country Club is still cheaper for your dates, it may be the better deal. If you prefer gardens, a full English breakfast and the staff guests praise here, The Grove is still a fair choice.
Why it made our top 3
We compared only 3 hotels in Cromer, so every pick comes from a small sample. The Grove earned its place with an 8.6 score, a 9.4 location rating and the lowest price after the Luxury slot was filled.
Breakfast styles listed are full English or Irish, vegetarian and buffet.
