The Iyang Ubud
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
The Iyang Ubud is worth booking if you want a quiet, green setting with a pool and friendly staff at a very low price, and you will use scooters or taxis to get around. Skip it if insects in the bathroom or a long trip into central Ubud would spoil your stay.

This is our Best Value pick in Ubud. It suits couples and travellers who want calm over convenience: guests describe a peaceful jungle setting surrounded by rice paddies. At the price we saw, it is also an easy choice for longer stays on a budget.
It does not suit anyone who wants to walk to cafes and sights, or anyone who is bothered by bugs. Guests say the bathrooms are spacious and stylish, but open ceilings let insects in and mould is common.
Location and getting around
The address is Kelabang Moding. The nearest sight in our data, the Puri Lukisan Museum, is about 3.8 km away, roughly 48 minutes on foot. Goa Gajah is 6.3 km, about 79 minutes, and Gunung Kawi is 7.5 km, about 94 minutes.
All of these are far. You will need a taxi, a hired driver or your own transport for almost every outing. Free parking is listed, which helps if you rent a scooter or car.
Walking times are straight-line estimates, and village roads can make real routes longer. The location score is 8.5, which reflects a setting guests like rather than a central one.
What guests say
The score is 9.1 out of 10 from 307 reviews. That sounds high, and it is, but Ubud is competitive: it placed joint ninth of 16 eligible properties. The review count is also smaller than at many hotels we pick, so weigh it accordingly.
Guests praise the setting and the staff. The team helps with luggage and keeps in touch through messaging apps, which is useful when you are arranging transport.
The recurring complaint is the bathroom. Open ceilings let insects in, and mould comes up often in reviews. Pack accordingly and ask the hotel about it if this matters to you.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
We saw €26.57 per night for 2 adults in one room. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates. That was 64% below the sample median of €74.33.
Our Budget pick, Jati 3 Bungalows, was €19.75 a night with 3 stars and a score of 8.2. Our Luxury pick, Kastara Resort, was €125.34 with 5 stars and 9.5.
For about €7 more than Jati 3 Bungalows, The Iyang scored nearly a full point higher and lists an outdoor pool. Kastara is a different level of spend, almost five times the price.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 16 eligible properties in Ubud. The Best Value slot balances guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price, and it does not simply reward the cheapest hotel. A 9.1 score at well under a third of the median price made The Iyang the clearest balance in the sample.
