The Quay Hotel and Spa is worth booking for a quiet, well-rated waterfront stay with a spa, pool and free parking, about a 16-minute walk from Conwy Castle. If you count every euro, know that guests flag high prices and extra spa charges, and our Budget pick has the same score for less.

Location and getting around
The address is Deganwy Quay. Guests give the location 9.5 out of 10, the strongest rating among the facts we hold for this hotel.
Conwy Suspension Bridge is about 1.2 km away, roughly 15 minutes on foot, and Conwy Castle is about 1.3 km, roughly 16 minutes. These are straight-line estimates, so the actual walk may take longer.

What guests say
Staff get consistent praise. Reviewers describe a friendly, helpful and professional team and a warm welcome.
The setting is the other highlight. Guests talk about a peaceful waterfront location with views of the estuary and the castle. Whether a specific room has that view is not confirmed, so ask when booking.
On the downside, guests mention high prices for rooms and food, and spa access that costs extra. Budget for those before you arrive.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €159.63 per night. This is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. The sample median was €134.64 per night, so the Quay sat clearly above it.
Our Budget pick, The Castle Hotel, Conwy, North Wales - The Coaching Inn Group, is also a 4-star scoring 8.9, at €107.02 per night. That is about €53 less per night for the same guest score. If you do not need a spa or pool, it is a strong alternative.
Our Best Value pick, IXORA Hotel & Spa Snowdonia, is a 4-star scoring 8.4 at €134.64 per night, about €25 less than the Quay.
