The View Hotel is our Best Value pick in Eastbourne, a four-star seafront hotel with a guest score of 8.7 from 3,799 reviews. It suits couples and families on a short seaside break, since family rooms are listed, and people who like a proper cooked breakfast. The property lists a beachfront position, a restaurant, a terrace and free Wi-Fi.
Skip it if room size is your priority. Guests broadly see it as good value, but some find rooms small or short on amenities. If you only need a bed near the sea, our Budget pick costs about €24 less a night.
Location and getting around
The address is Grand Parade, on the seafront. Guests rate the location 9.6 and mention the beach, the town centre and local transport links as nearby.
The bigger sights in our data are a different story. Beachy Head Lighthouse is about 4.6 km away in a straight line, roughly 58 minutes on foot. Pevensey Castle and Anderitum are each about 7 km, around 88 minutes. All three are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi to reach them.
What guests say
Breakfast gets the most praise. Guests describe a plentiful buffet with a wide range of hot and cold options, and the data lists a Full English/Irish breakfast.
The seafront location is the other strong point, with the beach, the centre and transport links all close.
On the negative side, value for money splits opinion a little. Many guests feel they got a good deal, but some say their room was small or lacked amenities. Our data does not say which room types are affected, so check the room description and size before you pay.
Its 8.7 score was joint first among the 7 eligible properties we compared.
Price and how it compares with our other Eastbourne picks
The reference price was €112.94 a night, 16% below the sample median of €133.76. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, The Cumberland Hotel, was €89.18 a night with a score of 8.0 and three stars. Our Luxury pick, The Grand Hotel, was €238.97 with a score of 8.4 and five stars. For roughly €24 more than the budget option you get a higher score and an extra star. And it scores better than the luxury pick at less than half the price.

Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible properties in Eastbourne. The Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and price, so it is not simply the cheapest hotel. This one combined the top review score in the sample, a large review count and a below-median price, which made it an easy pick.
Before you book
Look at the room size listed for each room type and pick a larger one if space matters. Confirm whether breakfast is in the rate and check the cancellation terms. Noise and the condition of the rooms have not been assessed, so recent reviews are worth a read.
