Trident Udaipur
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want a full-service 5-star hotel with a spa, pool and well-liked staff, and you accept paying far more than our other two Udaipur picks. If you mainly need a good bed near the sights, the cheaper picks score even higher with guests.

Trident Udaipur is our Luxury pick for the city. It suits couples and travellers who want a 5-star base with facilities to fall back on: a spa, a pool, a gym, a restaurant and a garden are all listed by the property.
Guests single out the staff and the breakfast buffet, so it also works well for people who value service and a relaxed start to the day.
Budget-minded travellers should look elsewhere. The reference price was well above the city median, and guests mention that dining and transport costs add up. If facilities do not matter to you, our other picks cost a fraction of this.
Location and getting around
The hotel sits at Haridasji Ki Magri, Udaipur, Rajasthan. Guests rate the location 9.4 out of 10.
Lake Palace is about 1.1 km away, roughly 14 minutes on foot. Jag Mandir Palace is about 1.4 km, around 18 minutes. Jagdish Temple is about 1.5 km, around 19 minutes. These walking times are straight-line estimates, so real routes can take longer.
Free parking is listed if you arrive by car. Some guests found local transport pricey, so agree fares before you set off.
What guests say
The score is 9.3 out of 10 across 761 reviews, joint fourth of 16 eligible properties in the sample.
Staff get the warmest comments: friendly, professional, and attentive from the moment guests arrive. Breakfast is the other highlight, described as a delicious buffet with a wide mix of fresh local and Western dishes.
On the downside, value for money draws mixed views. Guests call it reasonable overall but find the prices for dining and transport high.
Price and how it compares with our other picks
For 10 to 12 November 2026, 2 adults and one room, the reference price seen was €220.38 a night, about €440.76 for the 2 nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
That is roughly 44% above the sample median of €153.31 a night. The contrast with our other Udaipur picks is sharp. Madri Haveli, our Budget pick, was €40.63 a night with a 9.5 score and 3 stars. Madri Retreat - Heritage Boutique Hotel with Pool, our Best Value pick, was €60.55 a night, also scoring 9.5, with 4 stars.
So what does the extra money buy? A 5-star rating, a spa, a gym, a garden and the facilities of a larger hotel. It does not buy a higher guest score.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 16 eligible hotels in Udaipur. For the Luxury slot we prioritise official 5-star properties, and Trident Udaipur combines that rating with a 9.3 score from a large number of reviews. Among the 5-star options it offered the strongest mix of guest feedback and facilities.
