By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you are driving and want a well-equipped 4-star with a strong breakfast and free parking. If you plan to explore the old centre on foot, it is the wrong base, and our Luxury pick had the same score for less on our dates.

This 4-star hotel scores 8.9 out of 10 from 436 reviews. Guests describe it as close to the highway with plenty of on-site parking, so it suits road trippers, business travellers and families arriving by car. The property lists a gym, spa, restaurant, family rooms, garden, terrace, free parking, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Skip it if you want to walk out of the door into the historic centre. The sights in our data are around an hour away on foot. And if price matters, note that some guests feel the costs are high.
Location and getting around
The address is Lynbaan 35. Location scores 8.5 out of 10, and guests praise the highway access and the parking rather than the walk to town.
The distances confirm it. Oldehove tower is about 4.6 km away, roughly 58 minutes on foot, and the Slauerhoffbrug about 4.7 km, around 59 minutes. The Van Harinxmakanaal is about 8.8 km, close to two hours. All of these are far: plan on your car, public transport or a taxi. Walking times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
Breakfast is the star. Guests describe an extensive buffet with fresh orange juice and eggs cooked to order. The location near the highway with ample parking is the other point they like.
Opinion on value is split. Many feel the rates match the quality, while others find the costs high. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed.
Price compared with our other Leeuwarden picks
The reference price we saw was €150.40 per night, about €301 for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room. That is a reference price for those dates, not a live quote, so check today's price for yours. The sample median was €124.05, so this hotel sat about €26 above it.
Our Budget pick, Leonardo Oranje Hotel Leeuwarden, was €119.54 per night with 8.5 and 4 stars. Our Luxury pick, Notiz Hotel Leeuwarden, was €115.80 with 8.9 and 4 stars. To be plain: on those dates the Luxury pick had the same guest score and cost about €35 less per night. If you do not need the parking and facilities listed here, compare Notiz first.
Continental and buffet breakfast are listed. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Leeuwarden, and this one shared first place on guest score. Our Best Value slot balances the guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price, so it is not necessarily the cheapest. Here, the breakfast, the facilities list and free parking carry the case for drivers.
Before you book
Check whether the breakfast buffet is in your rate, as it is the most praised feature. Confirm that the spa and gym are open on your dates and whether they charge a fee.
