Amanzi Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.

Worth booking for couples and families who want the best-rated hotel in our Ventura sample with breakfast, a pool and free parking, at a price close to the city median. If every euro counts, our Budget pick is about €22 a night cheaper and scores almost the same.

Who it suits and who should skip it

Amanzi Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel, is our Luxury pick for Ventura. It has 4 official stars and a guest score of 8.5 out of 10 from 928 reviews. That is a large review base, which makes the score more reliable.

It suits road trippers, families and couples who want a pool, a buffet breakfast and free parking without paying big-city prices. Family rooms are listed. Guests mention easy highway access, which helps if you arrive by car.

Skip it if you expect five-star service. This is a four-star fallback, and some guests feel the rates are high for the quality. A spa appears in the hotel's tags but not in its list of facilities, so treat it as not confirmed.

Location: downtown Ventura, near the beach and pier

The address is 298 South Chestnut Street. We have no verified walking times to sights for this hotel, so we cannot give you minutes or kilometres.

Guests describe the hotel as walkable to the beach, the pier and downtown restaurants. A beach entry also appears in the provider facilities, but that does not confirm a beachfront position or a distance. Check a map before you book if being close to the sand matters.

The location score is 8.9, which suggests guests are happy with where it sits.

What guests say

Two things come up most. First, location: guests like being able to walk to the beach, the pier and places to eat. Second, breakfast: a substantial buffet with hot and cold options, including eggs, waffles and burritos. Breakfast styles listed are Continental, American and buffet.

The main complaint is about price. Rates are generally seen as reasonable, but some guests feel they are high for the quality. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed.

Price and how it compares with our other Ventura picks

Prices here are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. They are not live quotes. Amanzi showed €163.99 a night, about €328 for two nights. That is 4% below the sample median of €170.49.

The gap to our other picks is small. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ventura Harbor by IHG, the Budget choice, showed €142.47 a night with a score of 8.4 and 2 stars. Best Western At Ventura Pier, the Best Value choice, showed €151.54 with a score of 8.2 and 3 stars.

For about €12 to €22 more a night, Amanzi gives you the highest score of the three, 4 stars, a swimming pool, free parking, free wifi and air conditioning, as listed by the property.

Why it made our top 3

We compared 6 eligible hotels in Ventura. Amanzi shares the top position on guest score in that sample. For the Luxury slot we prefer five-star hotels; a four-star fallback must score at least 8.5. Amanzi meets that bar exactly, and its price sits below the median, which is unusual for a top pick.

Before you book

Check today's price for your dates, since the figures above are reference prices from November 2026. Confirm whether breakfast is included in your rate, as inclusion has not been assessed.

Ask about pool opening times and any fees, and read the cancellation terms. If you plan to walk to the beach, check the route on a map first.
