It is a sound booking if you want a clean room within walking distance of the pier, the beach and Main Street, plus free parking and an outdoor pool. In Ventura the three picks are close in price, so compare all three for your dates before you choose.

This 3-star Best Western suits road-trippers and beach visitors who want to park the car and walk. It lists free parking, an outdoor pool, a terrace, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and it is tagged as pet-friendly. Confirm the pet rules and any fee with the hotel.
Skip it if you expect a lot for the money. Some guests say the price feels high for fairly basic amenities. And if guest score is your main filter, our other two Ventura picks scored slightly higher.

What guests say
The hotel scores 8.2 out of 10 from 634 reviews. That put it joint fourth by review score among the 6 eligible hotels we compared in Ventura.
Location is the main praise, with the pier, beach, shops and restaurants all reachable on foot. Cleanliness also stands out: guests describe well-maintained, tidy rooms with fresh linens and spotless surfaces.
The criticism is about value. Rates are seen as reasonable for the area, but some guests feel the cost is high for what are basic amenities.
Price and how it compares with our other Ventura picks
The reference price was €151.54 per night, seen for a 2-night stay from 10 to 12 November 2026 for 2 adults in one room. That is 11% below the sample median of €170.49. It is a reference price, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ventura Harbor by IHG, a 2-star, came in at €142.47 per night with a score of 8.4. Our Luxury pick, Amanzi Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel, a 4-star, came in at €163.99 with a score of 8.5.
To be frank, the spread is narrow. The Budget pick was about €9 cheaper per night with a slightly higher score, and the Luxury pick was about €12 more for a 4-star rating and an 8.5. The Best Western's edge is its walkable spot near the pier and its cleanliness record. Prices shift, so the ranking for your dates may differ.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 eligible properties in Ventura. This hotel took the Best Value slot by balancing its guest score, a solid base of 634 reviews and a price below the median. It is not the cheapest or the highest-rated option, and with prices this close, it is worth checking all three.
