Áurea Convento Capuchinos by Eurostars Hotel Company
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Yes, this is an easy recommendation: a 5-star with the best guest score in our Segovia sample, a 4-minute walk from the cathedral, at a reference price close to our Best Value pick. The main drawback is a small, crowded breakfast room with strict timeslots.

Couples and travellers who want a 5-star stay without paying big-city prices will get the most from it. The setting is described as central and quiet, and the property lists a spa and a gym.
Skip it if a relaxed, unhurried breakfast is part of your idea of luxury, since guests mention timeslots and crowding. Families should note that family rooms are not listed in our data for this hotel, and pets are not mentioned either, so check both directly.
Location and getting around
The address is Plazuela Capuchinos, 2. Segovia Cathedral is about 0.3 km away, roughly 4 minutes on foot. The Alcázar is about 0.8 km, around 10 minutes. These are straight-line estimates. Guests say the Plaza Mayor is within walking distance too.
The location score is 9.6, the highest of our three Segovia picks. Inside the old town you should not need transport.
For the Royal Palace of Riofrío, about 9 km away and close to two hours on foot, plan a bus or taxi. It is far from here.
What guests say
Guests give it 9.1 out of 10 from 2,527 reviews, joint first of the 10 eligible hotels we compared. They praise the central yet quiet setting and a friendly, attentive team that gives helpful service and local recommendations.
The criticism centres on breakfast. The food has good variety, but it is served in a small, crowded room with strict timeslots. Ask at check-in how the slots work so you can pick a quieter time.
Price and value against our other Segovia picks
The reference price was €115.20 per night, about €230 for two nights. It is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. The sample median was €83.08, so it sits above the city's typical rate. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Hotel Don Felipe, was €65 per night with an 8.9 score and 3 stars. Our Best Value pick, Hotel Cetina Palacio Ayala Berganza, was €109.50 with a 9.0 score and 4 stars. In this sample, the step from Best Value to this 5-star was under €6 a night, which makes this hotel strong value for a Luxury pick. That gap may differ on your dates.
Listed facilities include a spa and wellness center, a gym, a restaurant, air conditioning and free WiFi. Breakfast types listed are continental, gluten-free and buffet. Spa hours, fees and breakfast inclusion are not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 10 eligible hotels in Segovia. Our Luxury slot goes first to 5-star hotels, and this one has an official 5-star rating together with the highest guest score in the sample. Its price close to mid-range made the case even stronger.
