Best Western Premier Milano Palace Hotel
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Milano Palace is the hotel we would point most visitors to in Modena: 4 stars, a spa listed and an 8.9 score at the city's median price. Budget for extras, though, since guests find the rates and the breakfast supplement expensive.

This is our Best Value pick in Modena. It suits couples and solo travellers who arrive by train and want a comfortable, well-reviewed base with a spa. Guests say the station and the main sights are a short walk away.
It is less ideal if you want breakfast bundled into a low price. Guests describe the breakfast supplement as expensive, and breakfast details are not confirmed in our data. Families should also check room options, since family rooms are not listed.
Location and getting around
The address is Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 68. The Ducal Palace of Modena is about 0.3 km away, roughly 4 minutes on foot. Modena Cathedral is 0.7 km, about 9 minutes, and the Galleria Estense is 0.8 km, around 10 minutes. All are straight-line estimates, and all are easy walks.
The location score is 9.2. Parking is not confirmed in the data, so drivers should ask the hotel about options and fees before arriving.
What guests say
The score is 8.9 out of 10 from 489 reviews, joint second of the 5 eligible properties we compared. It has the most reviews of our three Modena picks, so the score is well supported.
Guests like two things above all. One is the location, a short walk from the station and the centre. The other is the staff, described as friendly and professional, with helpful advice and flexible service. The complaint is value for money. The stay itself is rated as high quality, but room rates and breakfast supplements are seen as pricey.
Price and what you get compared with our other two picks
The reference price was €239 a night, about €478 for two nights. This is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates. It sat exactly at the sample median.
Our Budget pick, Best Western Hotel Libertà (3 stars, 8.1/10), was €202 a night, about €37 less, closer to the cathedral but with dated facilities according to some guests. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Rua Frati 48 in San Francesco (5 stars, 9.0/10), was €524.01, more than twice the price for a score just 0.1 higher. For most trips, Milano Palace offers the best balance of the three.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Modena. The Best Value slot rewards a balance of guest score, number of reviews and reference price, not the cheapest rate. With 489 reviews, an 8.9 score and a median price, Milano Palace led on that balance.
