This is our Budget pick in Macao. It suits travellers who want the lowest rate among our three choices and still want a pool, gym and free parking, all listed by the property. Family rooms are listed too, and guests mention spacious rooms.
Skip it if guest score matters most to you. At 8.0, it had the lowest score of the 12 properties we compared. Travellers who expect a shuttle should also note that there is no dedicated one, according to guests.
Location and getting around
The address is Avenida do. Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues, No. 1118, in the Macau Center area. The location score is 7.9.
The Ruins of Saint Paul's are 1.4 km away, about 18 minutes on foot. The Historic Centre of Macau is 1.9 km, about 24 minutes. Macau Tower is 2.6 km, about 33 minutes, which is far enough that a taxi or public transport makes sense.
Guests say the hotel is near the ferry terminal and a short walk from the town centre, with easy access to buses and taxis. Walking times are straight-line estimates, so real routes may be longer.
What guests say
The score is 8.0 out of 10 from 286 reviews, a modest sample.
Guests like the location near the ferry terminal and the short walk into town. Room size is the other positive, with spacious interiors and plenty of floor space mentioned.
The main complaint is transport. Buses and taxis are easy to reach, but there is no dedicated shuttle service.
Price and what you get, compared with our other two picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) was €70.45 per night, about €141 for both nights. That was 37% below the sample median of €112.62. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, Holiday Inn Express Macau City Centre by IHG, cost €98.75 with a score of 8.6. Our Luxury pick, Conrad Macao, cost €117.98 with a score of 9.4. The gap to the Luxury pick was unusually small in our reference prices, so compare all three for your dates before deciding.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a fitness centre, a pool, free parking, family rooms and air conditioning. The listing tags also mention a spa. No breakfast type is given in our data, so whether breakfast is offered, and at what price, is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
Out of 12 eligible properties, Casa Real had the lowest reference price once the upscale pick was set aside. Its score was the lowest in the sample, but at 8.0 it is still a solid result for the price. It is in our top 3 for price, not for guest score.
Before you book
Compare today's prices for all three picks, as the gap may be small. Check whether breakfast is available and what it costs. Confirm pool and gym opening hours and that parking is free for your dates. Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed, so read those details first.
