City Hotel Frankfurt Central

By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.

City Hotel Frankfurt Central is worth booking if you want a central room in an expensive city for well under half the typical price, and you only need the basics. If you want breakfast, a gym or detailed guest feedback before you commit, it leaves too many open questions.

We may earn a commission if you book. It never changes our pick.

Who it suits and who should skip it

This three-star suits cost-conscious travellers who want to be within walking distance of the centre and plan to be out most of the day. Pet owners may find it useful too, since the property lists pets as allowed.

Our data on facilities is short: free Wi-Fi and pets allowed are the only items listed. There is no confirmed breakfast, restaurant, gym or air conditioning. If any of those matter, assume they are missing until the hotel says otherwise, or look at our Best Value pick.

Location and getting around

The hotel is at Allerheiligenstraße 30, 60313 Frankfurt. Guests rate the location 8.6 out of 10.

Walking times are straight-line estimates. St. Paul's Church is about 10 minutes on foot (0.8 km), the Commerzbank Tower about 15 minutes (1.2 km) and the Städel museum about 21 minutes (1.7 km). All three are walkable for most people, though the Städel is across the river, so allow a little extra time.

What guests say

The hotel scores 8.5 out of 10 from 402 reviews. That is a fairly small number of reviews, so the score carries less weight than a similar figure built on thousands of stays.

We do not have a summary of what guests specifically like or dislike for this property. That is a real gap. Before booking, read recent reviews yourself, paying attention to comments on cleanliness, noise and room size, since none of those have been assessed.

Price compared with our other Frankfurt picks

For a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, the reference price seen was €76.70 per night, about €153 for the stay. That is around 56% below the €174.31 median of the hotels we compared, the deepest discount on this page. Prices are references, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.

Hotel Schopenhauer Hof, our Best Value pick, is a four-star at €168.35 a night with a score of 8.7. The Westin Grand Frankfurt, our Luxury pick, is a five-star at €323 with 8.9. City Hotel Frankfurt Central saves you more than €90 a night compared with Schopenhauer Hof, with a score only 0.2 lower. The trade-off is fewer confirmed facilities and much less guest information.

Why it made our top 3

We looked at 39 properties in Frankfurt, and 28 were eligible for review ranking, where this hotel placed ninth. It had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside, which makes it our Budget pick.

In a city where hotel rates are often high, a central room at this price with a score of 8.5 was the strongest budget option we found.

Before you book

Breakfast details are missing from our data, so check whether it is offered and at what cost. Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed.

If you are bringing a pet, ask about any fee. Check whether rooms have air conditioning if you are travelling in warmer months, and read a handful of recent reviews to fill in what our data does not cover.
