Hotel Schopenhauer Hof is a four-star hotel rated 8.7 out of 10 from 6,854 reviews. That review count is the largest on this page, so the score is a well-tested average rather than a lucky streak.
It suits city-break couples, business travellers who want to be near the Old Town rather than the station, and dog owners, since pets are allowed. Air conditioning and a terrace are listed.
Who might skip it? Travellers who need a pool, gym or on-site restaurant should look elsewhere; none appear in our data. Drivers should also budget for parking, which guests describe as expensive.
Location and getting around
The address is Schöne Aussicht 14, 60311 Frankfurt am Main. Guests rate the location 9.5 and describe a central spot by the river, a short walk from the Old Town and from transport.
Walking times are straight-line estimates. St. Paul's Church is about 0.6 km, around 8 minutes. The Commerzbank Tower is about 1 km, roughly 13 minutes. The Städel museum is about 1.3 km, around 16 minutes.
All of these are realistic on foot, and the Städel walk is a comfortable stroll for most people.
What guests say
Location is the most common positive: by the river, close to the Old Town and transport. Breakfast is the other, described as a tasty, varied buffet with fresh options, served in the lobby area.
The main gripe is the parking fee. Guests find room rates fair but see parking as overpriced.
Price compared with our other Frankfurt picks
We saw €168.35 per night for 2 adults, roughly €337 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
The sample median was €174.31, so this hotel came in about 3% below. Our Budget pick, City Hotel Frankfurt Central, was €76.70 per night with an 8.5. Our Luxury pick, The Westin Grand Frankfurt, a five-star hotel, was €323 per night with an 8.9.
The Budget choice is less than half the price for a score only 0.2 lower, so it is the obvious pick if cost leads. Schopenhauer Hof makes sense if you prefer the riverside location and four-star standard. The Westin costs almost twice as much for 0.2 points more.
