Comfort Hotel Hamamatsu
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want a cheap, practical room near the main station with a good breakfast. Skip it if you want the highest-rated stay in town, since it ranked last of 7 on guest score and the self-service check-in can be slow.

This is our Budget pick for Hamamatsu. It suits rail travellers, business visitors and anyone stopping for a night or two who cares more about price and breakfast than about extras. The score is 8.0 out of 10 from 1,478 reviews, a large and stable sample.
It is a 3-star hotel. The facilities listed are free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk. That is a short list. No gym, pool or restaurant appears in our data.
Who should skip it? Anyone choosing purely on rating. Among the 7 eligible properties we compared, it came joint 7th on guest score, which is last.
Location and getting around
The address is Chuo-ku, Sunayama-cho 353-5. Guests say the main train station, shops and restaurants are a short walk away. The location score is 8.4.
The Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments is about 0.5 km away, around 6 minutes on foot. Hamamatsu Castle is 1.4 km away, about 18 minutes. Both are easy walks. These are straight-line estimates, so allow a little extra on real streets.
What guests say
Breakfast is the clear highlight. Guests describe a buffet with Japanese and Western dishes, including daily smoothies and local eel rice. The listed breakfast type is Buffet.
The weak spot is arrival and departure. Guests find the secure luggage lockers convenient, but say the self-service kiosks can be clunky and slow. If you arrive at a busy time, give yourself a few extra minutes.
Price and how it compares with our other Hamamatsu picks
The reference price was €49.88 per night, about €100 for two nights. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November) for 2 adults in one room, not a live quote. It was 37% below the sample median of €78.97. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, HOTEL SUI HAMAMATSU by ABEST, has 3 stars and scored 8.9 at €66.25 per night. Our Luxury pick, Okura Act City Hotel Hamamatsu, has 5 stars and also scored 8.9, at €121.92 per night. For about €16 more per night, the Best Value pick scored almost a full point higher. If your budget allows that, it is worth a look.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible hotels in Hamamatsu. Comfort Hotel Hamamatsu had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside. Its score is the lowest of the group, but 8.0 from nearly 1,500 reviews is still a dependable result at under €50 a night.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is included in your rate, since the buffet is the main reason guests rate it well. Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed, so read recent reviews if those matter. Allow time for the self-service kiosks. Read the cancellation terms before paying.
