Rail travellers get the most from this hotel. Guests say it connects to the train station by a walkway, which takes the stress out of arriving with luggage. It holds 5 official stars and a score of 8.9 out of 10 from 859 reviews.
It also suits anyone who cares about the view. Guests report that high-floor rooms look out over the city, the mountains and the ocean.
Skip it if you want a full resort-style facility list. Our data lists free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and air conditioning, and nothing like a pool, gym or spa. Price-led travellers have cheaper options with similar scores.
Location and getting around
The hotel is at Chuo-ku Itaya 111-2, with a location score of 9.6. The Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments is about 0.2 km away, roughly 3 minutes on foot. Hamamatsu Castle is about 1.3 km, around 16 minutes.
Both are straight-line estimates, so allow a little more time. With the station walkway and shops and restaurants nearby, most visitors can manage the area on foot.
What guests say
Two strengths come through clearly. First, the location: the station walkway plus nearby shops and restaurants. Second, the views from upper floors over the city, mountains and ocean.
Our data records no recurring complaints. That does not mean there are none, only that none stood out in the summary. Room size, noise and condition have not been assessed.
Price compared with our other two picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults, was about €121.92 a night. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates. The sample median was €78.97.
Comfort Hotel Hamamatsu, our Budget pick, was around €49.88 a night with a score of 8.0. HOTEL SUI HAMAMATSU by ABEST, our Best Value pick, was about €66.25 with a score of 8.9, the same as this hotel. Both of those have 3 stars.
The extra money buys 5 stars, the station link, the higher-floor views guests mention and an on-site restaurant. Breakfast is listed as a buffet, but whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible properties, and this one shared the top review score position. For the Luxury slot, five-star hotels come first. With 5 official stars, 859 reviews and an 8.9 average, it was the clear choice.
Before you book
