Doubletree By Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences is worth booking if your trip centres on the Yas Island theme parks. It suits families and couples who want a high score and a pool at a mid price, but it is a poor base for sightseeing in central Abu Dhabi.

This four-star property is on Yas Island, with the address PO Box 144239, Yas Island. Its guest score of 9.0 shares first place among the 15 hotels we compared in the city. The property lists a gym, a pool, a restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace. For a family visiting the parks, that is a strong package.
Skip it if your plan is mosques, museums and the Corniche. The central landmarks are a long ride away, and you would spend a good part of each day in taxis.
Location and getting around
Guests rate the location 9.5 out of 10, and the reason is clear from the reviews: it is a short walk to Warner Bros World and Yas Waterworld. If those parks are the point of your trip, few locations will beat it.
For everything else, distances are large. By straight-line estimates, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is about 15.2 km away and Capital Gate about 18.3 km. Both are far, several hours on foot, so you will need a taxi or public transport. Parking is not listed in the facilities, so check with the property if you plan to drive.
What guests say
The 9.0 score comes from 1,430 reviews. Staff are described as friendly, helpful and responsive, with a warm welcome. The walk to the theme parks is the other point guests return to again and again.
Breakfast draws the main criticism. Guests say the choice is good, but it is served at the neighbouring hotel and the dining area gets crowded, with queues. The only breakfast type listed is breakfast to go, so check exactly what your rate covers.
Price compared with our other Abu Dhabi picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) was €162.31 a night, about €325 for both nights. That is around 11% below the sample median of €181.43. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Grand Villaggio Hotel Abu Dhabi, is four stars, scores 8.3 and cost €95.05 a night, with a more central position near malls and the bus station. Our Luxury pick, Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, is five stars, also scores 9.0 and cost €282.81. The Doubletree matches the Shangri-La's score for about €120 less per night, which is why it holds the Best Value slot.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 15 eligible hotels in Abu Dhabi. This one ranked joint first on guest score, with a price below the median. The Best Value slot rewards a balance of score, number of reviews and price, not simply the cheapest rate, and this property led that balance.
