Flor Da Rocha is our Budget pick in Portimão, Portugal. It holds four stars, a guest score of 8.8 out of 10 from 2,858 reviews, and the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside.
It suits beach-minded couples, families and anyone who wants extras without paying for them. The property lists a gym, a spa, a pool, free parking, family rooms, a garden, a terrace, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. That is unusual at this price.
Who should skip it? Travellers who want detailed guest feedback before booking. Our data has no summary of what guests praise or criticise here, so you will need to read reviews yourself. Also note that our Luxury pick happened to cost only about €36 more per night in the reference sample, which changes the maths if you want five stars.
Location and getting around
The address is Rua das Conchas. Guests give the location 9.2 out of 10.
By straight-line estimate, Praia da Rocha is 1.2 km away, about a 15-minute walk. The Fort of São João do Arade and Praia Grande in Ferragudo are both about 2 km away, roughly 25 minutes each. None of these is over 30 minutes by our estimate.
Straight-line figures can understate the real route, especially where water or roads get in the way. Check the walking route on a map before planning around these times.
What guests say
The score speaks for itself: 8.8 from 2,858 reviews is a large, stable sample. In our data it placed joint fourth on guest score among 9 eligible properties, so it is solid rather than top of the table.
We do not have a summary of specific likes or dislikes for this property. That means we cannot tell you about the rooms, staff, noise or cleanliness. Read recent reviews and look for comments on the things that matter most to you.

Our Best Value pick, RR Hotel da Rocha, was about €94.50 per night, with a score of 8.9 and four stars. Our Luxury pick, Algarve Casino Hotel, was about €86 per night, with a score of 8.2 and five stars.
Here is the honest read. Flor Da Rocha scores only 0.1 below the Best Value pick and costs about €45 less per night. It also scores higher than the Luxury pick, which has the extra star. For most travellers watching cost, this is the easiest of the three to justify.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 eligible properties in Portimão. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price after reserving the upscale choice, and Flor Da Rocha took it.
Its large number of reviews, high location rating and long facility list made it a strong budget option rather than a bare-bones one.
