Our Budget pick in Bydgoszcz is a 4-star hotel, which is unusual for the category. It suits travellers who want to walk to the old town and the opera and who care about a good breakfast more than fresh decor.
Family rooms are listed, and pets appear among the hotel's features. Check the conditions and any fee for pets.
Anyone who wants a polished, recently refreshed room should look at our other two picks. Guests note stained carpets and wallpaper showing wear.
Location and getting around
The address is ul. Gdańska 14. Guests describe a central setting a short walk from the old town, the opera and tram stops. The location score is 9.6 out of 10.
Deluge Fountain is about 0.2 km away, roughly 3 minutes on foot. Bydgoszcz Cathedral is about 0.5 km, around 6 minutes, and Bydgoszcz Synagogue about 0.7 km, around 9 minutes. These are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
Parking is not listed in our data. If you are driving, ask the hotel before arrival.
What guests say
The score is 8.7 out of 10 from 3,283 reviews, a large sample. On score alone it placed joint fifth of 6 eligible properties, which tells you how strong the competition in the city is.
Breakfast is a clear high point. Guests mention a wide selection of tasty food served in an elegant, historic dining room. Listed styles are Continental, Full English/Irish, vegetarian, American and buffet.
Location is the other recurring positive. The main complaint is the rooms: bathrooms are tidy, but carpets often have stains and the wallpaper shows wear.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was €81.80 per night. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) for 2 adults in one room, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
That was 24% below the sample median of €107.81. Our Best Value pick, Focus Hotel Premium Bydgoszcz, scored 9.2 with 4 stars at €127.62 per night. Our Luxury pick, Bohema Boutique Hotel & Spa, scored 9.3 with 5 stars at €147.56 per night.
So you save about €46 a night against the Best Value pick and about €66 against the Luxury pick, in exchange for a lower score and rooms that show their age. Listed facilities include a restaurant, a fitness centre and free Wi-Fi. A spa appears among the hotel's tags, but its opening times and fees are not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 eligible properties in Bydgoszcz. After the Luxury place was reserved, this had the lowest eligible reference price. With 3,283 reviews and 4 stars, it is a sturdy budget option rather than a bare-bones one.
