This is our Luxury pick for Dalian. It suits business travellers, families and longer stays. The property lists a gym, a pool, a restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Guests also value the direct access to the Galleria Mall, with its food courts and a basement supermarket, which is handy if you want to self-cater or eat cheaply.
Its five-star rating is estimated by the accommodation, not an official rating, so set expectations by the guest score rather than the stars. If you only need a bed for a night or two, our Budget and Best Value picks cost far less.
Location and getting around
The hotel is at No. 30, Ganglong Road, in Zhongshan District. Guests rate the location 9.3 out of 10 and say it is close to a metro station, business venues and the seaside embankment.
The sights in our data are another matter. Dalian Catholic Church is about 4.6 km away, around 58 minutes on foot. Dalian Mosque is about 5.6 km (around 70 minutes) and Xinghai Square about 9.4 km (around 118 minutes). These are straight-line estimates, and all three are far, so use the nearby metro or a taxi.
What guests say
The hotel scores 9.1 out of 10 from 146 guest reviews and ranks 1st on review score among the 7 eligible properties in our sample. Guests praise the location near the metro and the seafront, and the shopping and food options in the connected mall.
The weak point is breakfast. Western and Chinese dishes are served, but some guests find the selection limited or pre-made. With the mall and food courts next door, there are other options if the buffet does not suit you.
Price and how it compares with our other Dalian picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults put the hotel at €83.17 a night, about €166 for both nights. The sample median was €68.36, so you pay above the typical rate. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Sun Moon Lake Hotel Dalian大连火车站店, was €35.05 a night with an 8.1 score. Our Best Value pick, Holiday Inn Express City Centre Dalian by IHG, was €46.78 with an 8.4 score. Both are four-star. For roughly €36 to €48 more a night, this hotel adds the pool, the mall access and a clearly higher score. Breakfast styles listed are continental, Asian and buffet, but whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed.
