Our Luxury pick in Klagenfurt is a 4-star hotel that suits couples, families and short city stays. Family rooms are listed, and the property is tagged as pet-friendly; confirm the conditions with the hotel.
It is a city hotel, not a resort. If you came to Klagenfurt mainly for the lake, our Best Value pick, Das Seepark Wörthersee Resort, may fit your plans better. If price is the priority, our Budget pick is about €15 a night cheaper.
Location and getting around
The address is Jacques-Lemans-Platz 2. Guests describe a central setting in the old town, near the main square and the bus station. The location score is 9.7 out of 10, the strongest point in the data.
Klagenfurt Cathedral is about 0.2 km away, around 3 minutes on foot. Stadttheater Klagenfurt is about 0.4 km, roughly 5 minutes. Both times are straight-line estimates.
Minimundus is a different story. At about 3.5 km and around 44 minutes on foot, it is far, so plan on public transport or a taxi.
What guests say
It scores 8.8 out of 10 from 4,983 reviews, joint first of 5 eligible properties in the provider sample. Nearly 5,000 reviews make that a solid result.
Location is the top theme. The second is breakfast: guests describe a varied buffet served on the fifth floor, with panoramic views of the city.
On the other side, room rates are often seen as fair, but breakfast and parking fees are considered high. That is the main recurring complaint.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €124 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. That is about 9% below the sample median of €136.80. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.

In this city the Luxury pick is not the most expensive of the three. You pay €14.50 a night more than the Budget pick and get a slightly higher score, a fourth star and the old town on your doorstep.
