Worth booking if you want a well-reviewed, central three-star hotel near the cathedral and the train station at the lowest price among our Klagenfurt picks. Skip it if you want a spa or pool, or if you would rather pay a little more for four stars at our Luxury pick, which was only €14.50 a night dearer.

This is our Budget pick for Klagenfurt. It suits travellers arriving by train, visitors to the exhibition centre and anyone who wants a practical base close to the city centre. Family rooms are listed and the hotel is tagged as pet-friendly, though pet conditions should be confirmed.
It is a simpler hotel than the other two picks. No spa or pool is listed. If you plan to drive, note that guests consider the parking fee high.
Location and getting around
The address is Viktringer Ring 28. Location is rated 9.3 out of 10. Guests mention a short walk to the train station, the exhibition centre and the city centre.
Klagenfurt Cathedral is about 0.5 km away, roughly 6 minutes on foot. Stadttheater Klagenfurt is about 0.7 km, around 9 minutes. Minimundus is about 3.2 km, around 40 minutes, which is far on foot, so public transport or a taxi makes more sense. Walking times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
The guest score is 8.7 out of 10 from 3,650 reviews. Breakfast is a favourite: a large buffet with fresh options, a pancake machine and good coffee. The location close to the station and centre is the other point guests mention most.
The recurring complaint is about extras. Room rates are seen as reasonable, but the fees for parking and breakfast are considered high. That suggests breakfast may not be included in every rate, so check yours.

Das Seepark Wörthersee Resort, our Best Value pick, was €140.25 with four stars and an 8.7, the same score as this hotel. The gaps are small, so compare all three for your own dates before deciding.
