Our Luxury pick in Auburn, Alabama, is a 4-star hotel scoring 9.1 out of 10 from 94 reviews. It suits visitors who want to be on foot near the university, people who like to eat out downtown, and families, since family rooms are listed.
Skip it if you want a score backed by hundreds of reviews. Ninety-four is a modest number, so the 9.1 can move more easily than at bigger hotels. Very particular guests may also notice the carpet and corner cleaning issues some reviewers mention.

What guests say
Location dominates the praise. Reviewers like walking to the campus, downtown and Toomer's Corner, and having many places to eat nearby.
On cleanliness, the picture is generally good but not perfect. Guests call the hotel generally tidy, though carpets and corners sometimes need deeper attention. That is a minor complaint, but worth knowing at this price.
