This is our Best Value pick in Trento. It suits couples and city-break travellers who want to walk to the old town, people who care about breakfast, and anyone who wants a gym on site. Family rooms are listed, and the listing tags it as pet friendly, so check the pet rules and any fee.
Drivers should think twice. Guests dislike the extra daily charge for parking. If your budget is tight, Hotel Everest, our Budget pick, is cheaper by a clear margin.
Location and getting around
The hotel is at Piazza Dante 20, in what the booking data calls the top-rated area of Trento. Its location score is 9.7, which is very high.
Our straight-line estimates put Santa Maria Maggiore about 0.3 km away, around 4 minutes on foot. Trento Cathedral and Buonconsiglio Castle are each about 0.4 km away, roughly 5 minutes. Guests say the historic old town, the cathedral square and the city parks are a short walk away. Real routes run a bit longer than a straight line, but you will not need transport for the main sights.
What guests say
The score is 9.0 out of 10 from 2,552 reviews, the joint best among the 5 hotels we compared. Location is the first thing guests praise. Breakfast is the second: a large buffet with a wide range of sweet and savoury items, including eggs and pastries. The property lists it as continental, Italian and buffet.
On value, guests find the room rates reasonable, but the extra daily parking charge annoys them. That is the main complaint in the data.
Price and how it compares with our other Trento picks
The reference price was €141 a night, so about €282 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
That was about 3% below the €146 median of the hotels we compared. Hotel Everest, our Budget pick, is a 3-star at €93.91 with a score of 8.4. NH Trento, our Luxury pick, is a 5-star at €146 with a score of 8.6. So for €5 less than the Luxury pick, this 4-star scored higher with guests. If you want the cheapest sensible room, the Everest saves about €47 a night.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Trento. Our Best Value slot weighs guest score, number of reviews and reference price together, so it is not always the cheapest option. This one came out ahead because it pairs the joint top score and a large review count with a price just under the median and a 9.7 location score.
