This is our Luxury pick for Trento. It works for business travellers, couples and families who want a calm base with a fitness centre and a restaurant on site. Family rooms are listed, and pets are tagged as accepted, though conditions and fees are not confirmed.
Breakfast is a real draw for anyone with dietary needs. Continental, Italian, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and American options are listed, all as a buffet.
Who should skip it? Travellers who want to step straight onto the main square, and anyone very sensitive to housekeeping slips. Some guests report dust, mould and missed spots.
Location and getting around
The address is Via Adalberto Libera S/N, with a location score of 8.6. Straight-line estimates give about 13 minutes on foot to Trento Cathedral (1 km), 14 minutes to Santa Maria Maggiore (1.1 km) and 20 minutes to Buonconsiglio Castle (1.6 km).
Guests describe a quiet setting near the museum and a park, a short walk from the centre. All three listed sights are within walking range, so most visitors will not need transport for sightseeing.
What guests say
The quiet setting and the easy walk to the centre come up often. So does breakfast: reviewers praise an extensive buffet with plenty of fresh sweet and savoury items.
Cleanliness is the mixed point. Rooms are generally described as tidy, but some guests mention dust, mould and overlooked spots. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed, so read recent reviews before you commit.
Price compared with our other Trento picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, was €146 a night, or €292 for both nights. That is exactly the sample median of €146. These are reference prices, not live quotes; check today's price for your dates.
Here is the honest comparison. Grand Hotel Trento, our Best Value pick, scored 9.0 at €141 a night, so it was both slightly cheaper and better rated. Hotel Everest, our Budget pick, scored 8.4 at €93.91. NH Trento earns the Luxury slot on its star rating and facilities rather than on guest score.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible properties in Trento. For the Luxury slot we prioritise 5-star hotels, and NH Trento is listed at 5 stars, although that rating is estimated by the accommodation rather than official.
Its 8.6 score placed it 4th of the 5 on guest rating. It still clears the bar we set for this slot, and its 1,709 reviews give a solid base for that score.
