Worth booking if you want a five-star hotel with a pool, spa, gym and free parking outside central Trieste, and you are happy to travel into town. If you want to walk to Piazza Unità d'Italia, or sleep lightly, our Best Value pick scores higher for about €15 less a night.

Travellers who want facilities more than a central address are the natural fit. The property lists a pool, a spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, a garden, a terrace, family rooms and free parking.
Drivers will find it practical thanks to that free parking, and families can look at the family rooms. The hotel is also tagged as pet friendly, though the rules and fees are not confirmed.
Skip it if you want to walk into the city centre, or if noise keeps you awake. Some rooms are quiet, but guests report street traffic noise and thin walls in others.
Location and getting around
The address is Viale Miramare 109, Trieste. Guests rate the location 8.8 out of 10.
Piazza Unità d'Italia is about 3.5 km away, roughly 44 minutes on foot. Trieste Cathedral is about 4 km, around 50 minutes, and Miramare Castle about 4.1 km, close to 51 minutes. All of these are far, so plan on public transport, a taxi or your own car.
Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
Breakfast stands out. Guests describe it being served on a rooftop terrace with a wide variety of food and, at times, live music. It is listed as continental, and inclusion depends on your rate.
Staff are described as friendly, professional, helpful and attentive.
Soundproofing is the weak point. Some rooms are quiet, while others suffer from street traffic noise and thin walls. The overall score is 8.8 out of 10 from 508 reviews, a smaller sample than many hotels in this range.
Price and what you get against our other Trieste picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, was €187.60 per night, about €375 for the two nights. That is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Residence Theresia- Tailor Made Stay, was €80 a night with an 8.4 score. Our Best Value pick, Savoia Excelsior Palace Trieste - Starhotels Collezione, was €172.10 with a 9.2 score and four stars.
The Savoia scores higher and cost €15.50 less a night in our reference dates. What this hotel adds is the fifth star and the leisure facilities: pool, spa, gym, garden and free parking. The sample median was €172.10, so it sits slightly above.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible hotels in Trieste. This one shared fourth place on review score.
It takes our Luxury slot because it holds an official five-star rating, which our method prioritises for that category. It was not chosen for its score or its location.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Ask for a quiet room away from the street.
If the pool or spa is a reason to book, check November opening hours and any charges. Rooftop breakfast may depend on the weather, so ask what happens on cold or wet days.
