As our Best Value pick in Chapel Hill, it suits families, pet owners and visitors who want a pool and a gym without paying downtown prices. Family rooms are listed, and pets are listed as accepted.
It suits fewer people if you want to walk out of the door to restaurants or the Dean Smith Center, which is a long way on foot. Drivers should also know that guests report a separate daily parking fee.
Location and getting around
You will find the hotel at 6121 Farrington Road. Despite the Chapel Hill/Durham name, the address sits within our Chapel Hill comparison. Guests give the location 9.3 out of 10.
The Dean Smith Center is 5.6 km away, about 70 minutes on foot. That is far, so drive, take a taxi or use public transport. The walking time is a straight-line estimate and the real route will be longer.
Our data has no walking times to downtown Chapel Hill or the university campus from this address. Check a map if you plan to manage without a car.
What guests say
The average score is 8.8 out of 10 from 324 reviews, joint third of 10 eligible properties in the sample we checked.
Cleanliness comes up again and again. Guests say the property is consistently tidy and well maintained. The staff are described as friendly and professional, quick to help and welcoming.
The complaint is parking. Guests say it requires a separate app for payment and comes with an extra daily fee. Ask for the current rate so the total cost does not surprise you.
Price and what you get, compared with our other two picks
The reference price was €118.59 per night, about €237 for two nights. This is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates. With a sample median of €155.12, this hotel sat about 24% below the middle of the market.
The property lists a gym, a pool, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Breakfast is listed as American, but whether your rate includes it is not confirmed.
Tru By Hilton Chapel Hill, our Budget pick, was €108.92 with 8.5 and no pool listed. AC Hotel by Marriott Chapel Hill Downtown, our Luxury pick, was €221.91 with 8.9 and 4 stars. For roughly €10 more than Tru you get a higher score and a pool, while the AC Hotel costs almost double.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 10 hotels in Chapel Hill. This Hampton combined a high guest score, a healthy number of reviews and a price well below the median, which is what the Best Value slot looks for. It is not the cheapest option.
