Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Chatham South by IHG
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking if you want a predictable chain stay in Chatham, Ontario with a buffet breakfast, an indoor pool and free parking at a mid-range price. If you want the best-rated room in town, or the cheapest, one of our other two picks fits better.

Drivers, families and anyone passing through for a night or two will find this an easy choice. Free parking is listed, the pool is indoors, which matters in November, and breakfast gets good words from guests.
The guest score is 8.2 out of 10 from 203 reviews. That is a large, steady sample, though it was the lowest score of the three hotels we compared here.
Skip it if you want something with more character or a higher rating. Our Luxury pick scored 9.2. Skip it too if every euro counts, since the Budget pick was cheaper and scored better.
Location and getting around
The address is 575 Richmond Street, Chatham. The provider gives it a location score of 8.6.
We have no verified walking times to sights for this hotel, so we will not guess. Check a map for the places you plan to visit and work out whether you will need a car or a taxi. With free parking listed, arriving by car looks like the easiest option, but confirm parking rules with the hotel.
What guests say
Staff get consistent praise. Guests describe the team as friendly, helpful and welcoming, and willing to accommodate requests.
Breakfast is the other highlight. Reviewers mention a fresh hot and cold selection, with sausage and cinnamon rolls named specifically. The breakfast types listed are continental, gluten-free and buffet.
The main complaint is value. Some guests found the rates reasonable, while others felt they were expensive given that renovations were going on. We do not know whether that work is finished, so ask the hotel when you book.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €119.29 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. That matched the sample median exactly. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your own dates.
The listed facilities include an indoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, free parking and air conditioning. Whether breakfast is included in every rate is not confirmed.
Our Budget pick, Comfort Inn Chatham, was €100.67 a night with a score of 8.5 and 4 stars. Our Luxury pick, Retro Suites Hotel, was €164.69 with a score of 9.2 and 4 stars. This hotel sits between them on price, but below both on guest score. Its case rests on the pool, the breakfast and the familiar chain format rather than on ratings.
Why it made our top 3
Only 3 eligible hotels were compared in Chatham, so the field was small. This one came third of three on review score.
It still earned the Best Value slot because it balances score, review volume and price. With 203 reviews it has by far the most feedback behind its score, which makes that 8.2 a reliable figure. It is not necessarily the cheapest option.
Before you book
Ask whether renovations are still under way and whether they affect your room or the pool.
Check that breakfast is included in your rate. The breakfast is described, but inclusion is not confirmed.
Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Read the room details and cancellation policy, and compare the live price with our other two picks before you commit.
