This 4-star hotel suits budget travellers, sports fans and groups who want room to spread out. Guests describe the rooms as spacious, comfortable and well maintained, and a pool and gym are listed.
Skip it if you want the highest-rated stay in town. Its 8.1 ranks joint eighth of 11 eligible hotels we compared. Skip it too if a relaxed breakfast matters, since guests say recent renovations have cut the selection and made seating less comfortable.
Location and getting around
The address is 20 South Tenth Street, in the South Side. Guests say downtown, the local arenas and the restaurants on Carson Street are walkable. The location score is 8.4, lower than the rest of the scores here.
Fort Duquesne is about 2.3 km away, roughly 29 minutes on foot. PNC Park and The Andy Warhol Museum are each about 2.4 km, around 30 minutes. That is a long but manageable walk; in bad weather a taxi or public transport will be easier. Walking times are straight-line estimates. Parking is not listed among the facilities, so ask the hotel if you are driving.
What guests say
The score is 8.1 out of 10 from 621 reviews, joint eighth of 11 eligible properties in the provider sample.
Rooms are the main strength. Guests call them spacious, comfortable and consistently well maintained. They also like being able to walk to downtown, the arenas and Carson Street.
Breakfast gets mixed comments. The buffet has a large variety, including continental and vegan options, but recent renovations have limited the selection and seating comfort.
