This is our Budget pick for Preston. It suits road trips, work stops and families who arrive by car. Free parking, family rooms, a restaurant, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a garden and a terrace are all listed. Pets appear in the property tags, but the pet policy and any fees are not confirmed.
It is a poor fit if you want to step out of the door into the city centre. The hotel is at Walton Summit, and the Preston sights in our data are more than an hour away on foot.
Location and getting around
The address is Reedfield Place, Walton Summit. Guests rate the location 8.9 out of 10, which fits a hotel used as a base with a car.
Bamber Bridge is the closest point in our data, at 1.1 km or about 14 minutes on foot. The Preston England Temple is 5.4 km away, about 68 minutes. The Church of St Walburge, Preston is 6.3 km away, about 79 minutes. Both are far, so you will need public transport, a taxi or your car. Walking times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
The score is 8.6 out of 10 from 1,909 reviews. On review score, it sits joint 2nd of 6 eligible properties in the provider sample.
Breakfast gets good feedback. The buffet includes hot and cold items such as sausages, cereals and pastries. Staff are described as friendly, helpful, welcoming and efficient.
The main complaint is about extras. Room rates are seen as reasonable, but guests find food and drink prices high. Budget for that if you plan to eat in.
Price compared with our other Preston picks

The gap to our other picks was small on those dates. Our Best Value pick, Farington Lodge Hotel, was €115.41 a night with the same 8.6 score and 4 stars. Our Luxury pick, City Studios, Preston, was actually cheaper at €102.99 a night, with an 8.9 score and 4 stars. Our category labels come from the selection method, not from the price on one date.
So compare all three for your dates. If you are on foot, the other two may suit you better depending on where they sit.
