This is our Budget pick for Norwich. It suits rail travellers, football fans heading to Carrow Road and families, since family rooms are listed. Pets appear among the tags in our data, but confirm the pet policy before booking.
It is a 4-star hotel with a restaurant and a fitness centre. For a budget slot, that is a solid standard.
Skip it if you want to stay among the old streets of the centre. The castle and cathedral are walkable, but this is not a historic-centre address.
Location and getting around
The address is Carrow Road. Guests say it is convenient for the train station and the football stadium, and some rooms come with views over the pitch. The location score is 9.0 out of 10.
Norwich Castle is about 1.2 km away, around 15 minutes on foot. Norwich Cathedral is about 1.3 km, roughly 16 minutes. St John the Baptist Cathedral is about 2.0 km, around 25 minutes. These are straight-line estimates, so real routes may take a little longer.
Pitch views are not guaranteed for every room. If that matters to you, ask the hotel which room types face the ground.
What guests say
The score is 8.6 out of 10 from 2,144 reviews, joint second of 8 eligible hotels in the sample. That matches our Best Value pick.
The location near the station and stadium is a frequent positive. Staff also get good marks: friendly, helpful, welcoming and efficient.
The main gripe is extra costs. Guests find room rates reasonable but dislike the parking charges. Ask for the current parking rate before you arrive.

Breakfast options listed are wide: continental, full English or Irish, vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and buffet. Whether breakfast is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Norwich. This one had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale slot was filled, and its score sits near the top of the sample.
A cheap price, a strong score from over 2,000 reviews and easy rail access made it the obvious Budget choice.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. On match days the area near a stadium may be busier, so check the fixture list for your dates.
Confirm the parking fee if driving, ask whether breakfast is included and read the cancellation policy. Check today's price, as the November 2026 figure is only a reference.
