Holiday Inn Nottingham by IHG
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
It is worth booking if you want a four-star hotel with a strong buffet breakfast and lots of listed facilities, a short walk from Nottingham Castle. Price-focused travellers should compare it with our Luxury pick, which was cheaper in our reference check.

This is our Best Value pick for Nottingham. It has four official stars and a guest score of 8.6 out of 10 from 2,129 reviews, joint second of the 6 hotels we compared.
It suits families, since family rooms are listed, and anyone who values a full breakfast before a day out. A gym, restaurant, garden and terrace are also listed.
Skip it if you want the lowest bill. In our check it was the most expensive of our three Nottingham picks, and onsite parking costs extra each day.
Location and getting around
The address is Castle Marina Park. The location score is 8.9 out of 10, a little lower than many city-centre hotels.
Straight-line walking estimates: Nottingham Castle about 10 minutes (0.8 km), Nottingham Cathedral about 15 minutes (1.2 km) and Trent Bridge about 29 minutes (2.3 km). Trent Bridge is close to the limit of a comfortable walk, so consider a taxi or public transport for that one.
These are rough estimates, not measured routes.
What guests say
Staff are the first thing guests mention: friendly, helpful and professional, with a warm welcome.
Breakfast also scores well. Reviewers describe a tasty buffet with a wide choice of hot and cold food.
The main complaint is that onsite parking carries an additional daily charge. Room size, noise and condition have not been assessed by us.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were about €206.34 a night, roughly €413 in total. The sample median was €198.47, so it sat slightly above. These are not live quotes; check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Leonardo Hotel Nottingham (4 stars, 8.5), was about €158.54 a night. Our Luxury pick, Roomzzz Nottingham City (4 stars, 8.9), was about €97.11 in the same check, well below this hotel. Prices can swing a lot by date, so compare all three before you commit.
What you get here is the widest list of facilities of the three in our data, plus a breakfast that covers continental, full English, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Whether breakfast is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 eligible hotels in Nottingham. The Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and reference price, and is not necessarily the cheapest option. This hotel paired a high score and a healthy review count with a price close to the median.
Its broad dietary breakfast options and family rooms added to the case.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is included. If you drive, ask for the current daily parking charge. Confirm gym hours and the cancellation terms.
Because prices change, look again at Roomzzz Nottingham City for your dates; it was cheaper in our reference check.
