Holiday Inn - Osnabrück by IHG

Yes, it is worth booking if you want the best-rated hotel in our Osnabrück sample at a mid-range price, with the station and centre within walking distance. Skip it if you plan to pay for breakfast and parking on top, as guests find those extras expensive.

Our Luxury pick for Osnabrück is a four-star chain hotel, not a five-star palace. It suits business travellers, rail arrivals and drivers who like the idea of underground parking on site. It also fits people who want a gym and spa after a day of meetings. Pets are listed as accepted, with conditions to confirm.
It is less suited to travellers on a strict budget who want breakfast and parking included. Guests say the room rate is reasonable, but those two extras push the bill up.
Location and getting around
You will find it at Niedersachsenstrasse 5. Guests rate the location 9.0 and describe a short walk to the city centre and the train station.
St. Catherine's Church is about 1 km away, around 13 minutes on foot. St. Peter's Cathedral is about 1.1 km, roughly 14 minutes. The Felix Nussbaum Haus is about 1.3 km, about 16 minutes. These are straight-line estimates, so real walks may take a bit longer.
So you are not right next to the old town sights, but you can reach them on foot in under 20 minutes.
What guests say
With 8.9 out of 10 from 2,673 reviews, it shares the top spot among the 5 hotels we compared. Guests like the location and the on-site underground parking. Breakfast is the other big plus: an extensive buffet with a fresh egg station and a wide range of options.
Value is the sore point. Room rates are seen as reasonable, but breakfast and parking fees are described as high. Exact amounts are not confirmed in our data.
Price and how it compares with our other Osnabrück picks
The reference price was €122.13 a night, about €244 for two nights. It is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November) for 2 adults in one room. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Here the Luxury pick is not the most expensive. Prize by Radisson, Osnabruck, our Budget pick, was €108.67 a night with a score of 8.2 and three stars. Romantik Hotel Walhalla, our Best Value pick, was €143.87 with a score of 8.7 and four stars. Holiday Inn sits between them on price and above both on guest score.
That gap can close fast once you add breakfast and parking, so price the full stay, not only the room.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Osnabrück. None had five stars, so our method allowed a four-star hotel for the Luxury slot only if it scored at least 8.5. Holiday Inn cleared that bar with 8.9, joint first of the 5, and its four stars are estimated by the property rather than official.
Listed facilities include a gym, a spa, a restaurant, a terrace, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Availability and fees should be checked for your dates.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is in your rate and what parking costs per night. Room size, noise, renovation state and cancellation terms have not been assessed, so read the room details and the cancellation policy. If you bring a pet, confirm the rules and any fee.
