Romantik Hotel Walhalla
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want to stay inside Osnabrück's historic old town, a few minutes from the cathedral, with a strong breakfast buffet. Skip it if you arrive in a large car, or if price matters most, since it cost more than our Luxury pick on the reference dates.

Visitors who want to walk everywhere in the old town are the best match. Guests highlight the pedestrian zone and the market close by, and the breakfast buffet gets warm comments.
Pets appear among the hotel's features, which helps dog owners. Confirm the conditions and any fee.
Drivers with a bigger car may struggle. Guests say the on-site garage has tight spaces and an awkward entrance. Budget-minded travellers should also note that this Best Value pick was pricier than our Luxury pick for the reference dates.
Location and getting around
The address is Bierstraße 24. Guests place it in the historic old town, near the pedestrian zone and the market. The location score is 9.7 out of 10.
Felix Nussbaum Haus is about 0.2 km away, roughly 3 minutes on foot. St. Peter's Cathedral, Osnabrück is about 0.3 km, around 4 minutes, and St. Catherine's Church, Osnabrück about 0.5 km, around 6 minutes. These are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
The score is 8.7 out of 10 from 1,496 reviews, joint second of 5 eligible properties on score.
Location leads the praise, with the old town on the doorstep. Breakfast follows: an extensive buffet with a wide range of high-quality and regional items. Listed styles are Continental and buffet.
Parking is the sore point. There is an on-site garage, but guests describe the spaces as tight and the entrance as hard to navigate.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was €143.87 per night. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) for 2 adults in one room, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
The sample median was €122.13. Our Budget pick, Prize by Radisson, Osnabruck, scored 8.2 with 3 stars at €108.67 per night. Our Luxury pick, Holiday Inn - Osnabrück by IHG, scored 8.9 with 4 stars at €122.13 per night.
On those dates the Walhalla cost about €22 a night more than the Luxury pick, which also scored slightly higher. What you pay for here is the old-town address and the breakfast. Listed facilities include a restaurant, a garden, a terrace, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Compare both hotels for your own dates before deciding.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible properties in Osnabrück. The Best Value slot weighs score, number of reviews and price together, and this hotel combines a high score, a solid review count and a 9.7 location rating. It is not the cheapest option, and the label does not claim it is.
