Holiday Inn Suva by IHG is our Best Value pick for Suva. It is a four-star hotel listing a pool, restaurant, free parking, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace.
It suits business travellers and city visitors who want to walk to the centre. Guests mention easy access to shops and meeting venues, and the free parking helps if you have a car.
Skip it, or at least compare carefully, if price and guest score are your main tests. On our reference dates, our Luxury pick cost less per night and rated higher. Prices move, so the order may differ on your dates.
Location and getting around
The hotel is on Victoria Parade. Guests rate the location 9.2 and describe it as central, within walking distance of the city centre, shops and meeting venues.
Thurston Gardens is about 0.8 km away, around 10 minutes on foot by straight-line estimate. The Fiji Museum is about 0.9 km, around 11 minutes. Sacred Heart Cathedral, Suva is about 2 km, roughly 25 minutes. All three are within walking range.
Free parking is listed if you are driving.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.3 out of 10 from 404 reviews. Only 3 eligible properties were in our Suva sample, and this one ranked third on guest score.
Guests praise a friendly, welcoming and helpful team who are attentive to requests. The central position is the other main plus.
Value draws criticism. Some guests find the rates reasonable, but others say prices are high for the room quality. Look at recent room photos before you book.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults came to €231.43 a night, above the sample median of €197.94. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Quest Suva, was €159.48 with four stars and an 8.5 score. Our Luxury pick, Grand Pacific Hotel, was €197.94 with five stars and an 8.7 score.
That makes this an awkward comparison for the Holiday Inn. On these dates it was the most expensive of the three and had the lowest score. Unless the Holiday Inn's location or facilities suit you better, or prices change on your dates, the other two picks deserve a close look.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible properties in Suva, so every eligible hotel made our list. The Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and price. With 404 reviews and a central, walkable location rated 9.2, the Holiday Inn filled the middle slot, but our price data does not favour it on these dates.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. A buffet breakfast is listed, but check whether your rate includes it.
Pool opening times and any fees must be confirmed for your dates. Compare today's prices for all three of our Suva picks side by side.
