This is our Best Value pick in Ames. It suits travellers who care most about guest satisfaction: the score is 9.2 out of 10, the highest of the three hotels we chose here. It also fits people who want a pool and a gym on site, since the property lists both.
It is a weaker fit for anyone on the tightest budget. Our Budget pick costs roughly €26 less per night. Business or family travellers who need breakfast included should also be careful, because breakfast is not listed in our data. If a morning meal matters, confirm it before paying.
Location and getting around
The address is 2125 Isaac Newton Dr, Ames. The location rating from guests is 9.5 out of 10, which is high, but our data does not say what is nearby or how far it is to campus or the town centre.
We have no verified walking times to any sight for this hotel. Before booking, put the address into a map app and check the distance to the places you actually plan to visit. If your plans involve several spots across town, expect to rely on a car or taxi, and confirm parking terms with the property, since parking is not listed among its facilities.
What guests say
Our data does not include summarised guest comments for this hotel, either positive or negative. What we can report is the headline figure: 9.2 out of 10 from 60 reviews, which put it joint first of 9 eligible properties in the sample on review score.
Without written feedback, we cannot tell you about noise, room size or cleanliness. Read the most recent reviews on the booking page and look for comments from people travelling at the same time of year as you.
Price and what you get, compared with our other Ames picks
The reference price was €114.18 per night, about €228 for two nights. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November) for 2 adults, not a live quote. It sat about 10% below the sample median of €127.03. Check today's price for your own dates.
For that money, the listed facilities are free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, a swimming pool and air conditioning. Opening times and any fees are not confirmed.
Compared with our other picks: Best Western Plus University Park Inn & Suites, our Budget choice, was €88.40 per night with a score of 8.3. Sleep Inn & Suites Ames near ISU Campus, our Luxury choice with 4 stars, was €104.41 with a score of 8.6. So in this city the Luxury pick was actually cheaper at the reference dates. You pay a small premium here for the higher guest score.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 hotels in Ames. This one won the Best Value slot because it balances the guest score, the number of reviews and the price. It is not the cheapest option. It earned its place mainly through the 9.2 score, the best among the three we picked, at a price still below the local median.
