HOTEL ALKMAAR - Bar & Restaurant - Meeting & Events
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking if you are driving, want free parking and a big breakfast, and do not mind a 20-minute walk to the old centre. Since all three of our Alkmaar picks were within €7 a night, the deciding factor is score and facilities, and this one leads on both.

Drivers, families and business travellers get the most from it. The property lists free parking, a gym, a restaurant, family rooms, a garden, a terrace, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and its name points to meeting and event facilities.
The guest score is 8.5 out of 10 from 1,926 reviews, the best in our Alkmaar sample.
It is a weaker match if you want to step straight out into the historic centre. The location score is 8.3, lower than its overall score, and the main church is over 20 minutes away on foot.
Location and getting around
The address is Arcadialaan 6. Grote or Sint-Laurenskerk, in the old centre, is about 1.8 km away, roughly 23 minutes on foot.
Egmond Abbey is about 6 km, some 75 minutes, and the J.C.J. van Speijk Lighthouse about 8.2 km, well over an hour and a half. Both are far, so you will need public transport, a taxi or your own car.
Beach appears in the provider's facility data, but that does not confirm a beachfront location or any walking distance to the coast. Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
Staff get plenty of praise. Reviewers describe a friendly, helpful and welcoming team that responds quickly.
Breakfast stands out as well, with an extensive buffet and a wide range of fresh options. The listing backs this up with a long list of styles, including continental, Italian, full English, vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, kosher, Asian, American and breakfast to go.
Value divides opinion. Some guests find the room rates reasonable, while others think breakfast and the overall cost are high.
Price and what you get against our other Alkmaar picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, was €113.50 per night, about €227 in total. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
The spread in Alkmaar was tiny. Our Budget pick, Grand Hotel Alkmaar, was €106.72 a night with 8.0. Our Best Value pick, Amrâth Hotel Alkmaar, was €111.47 with 8.1. All three are 4-star hotels, and the sample median was €111.47.
For about €2 to €7 more a night, this hotel gives you the highest score of the three and free parking. Whether breakfast is included is not confirmed, and some guests find it pricey, so check your rate.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible hotels in Alkmaar, a small field. Our Luxury slot prefers five-star hotels; where none fits, a four-star hotel must score at least 8.5. This one has 4 official stars and 8.5, and placed joint 1st of 3 on review score.
Here the Luxury label reflects the highest score rather than a large price premium.

Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check the price of breakfast if it is not in your rate.
