Yes, it is worth booking if you want the best-rated hotel in our Emden sample, right by the water, and can pay about €70 a night more than our mid-range pick. Light sleepers should ask about room placement, as a few guests mention noise from connecting doors or outdoor music.

This is our Luxury pick in Emden. It suits couples and short-break visitors who want a central, waterside location and strong service. Free parking and a gym are listed, which helps drivers and active travellers.
It is a 4-star hotel, not a 5-star one, so do not expect a full resort. If your budget is tight, our other two Emden picks cost €70 to €87 less per night.
Location and getting around
The address is Am Delft 27, and the location score is 9.7. Guests describe a central position by the water, with harbour views and easy access to the town centre. Which rooms have those views is not confirmed, so ask when booking.
Kunsthalle Emden is 0.7 km away, about 9 minutes on foot. The Leaning Tower of Suurhusen is 5.7 km away, about 71 minutes. That is far, so you will need a car, public transport or a taxi.
Walking times are straight-line estimates. Real routes may take a little longer.
What guests say
The score is 9.4 out of 10 from 1,159 reviews, joint first among the 3 properties we compared.
Staff come up first in the praise. Reviewers describe a friendly, helpful and attentive team that gives a warm welcome. Location is the second theme, with the waterside setting and short walk to the centre.
The criticism is about noise. Most guests find it peaceful, but some report disturbance from connecting doors between rooms or from outdoor music.
Price and what you get, compared with our other two picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) was €215.74 per night, about €431 for both nights. The sample median was €146.13. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Faldernpoort, cost €128.25 with a score of 8.1. Our Best Value pick, Upstalsboom Parkhotel, cost €146.13 with 8.2. Hotel am Delft is the most expensive of the three, and the extra money buys a much higher score and a waterside position.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a fitness centre, a terrace, free parking and air conditioning. The listing tags also mention a spa. Breakfast styles listed are continental and buffet. Whether breakfast is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
Only 3 eligible properties were compared in Emden. Our Luxury slot goes to 5-star hotels first, and a 4-star fallback must score at least 8.5. With 9.4 across more than 1,100 reviews, this hotel cleared that bar easily.
Before you book
Ask for a room without a connecting door if you are a light sleeper, and check whether any outdoor events are planned for your dates. Confirm whether breakfast is included and whether the room you book has a water view. Room size, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed, so read those details before paying.
