Yes, this is the strongest value in our Nice trio: the top guest score in our sample at a price below the city median. Skip it if a proper breakfast room matters, since breakfast comes in a basket to your room with a limited selection.

Location and getting around
The address is 32 Rue Hôtel Des Postes, 06000 Nice, with a location score of 9.8/10. Guests describe a central setting near the beach, the Old Town, shops and public transport.
Nice Cathedral is 0.5 km, about 6 minutes on foot. Notre-Dame de Nice is 0.6 km, around 8 minutes. The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nice is 1.8 km, roughly 23 minutes. These are straight-line estimates, so real walks may take a little longer.
What guests say
The score is 9.3/10 from 1,065 reviews, which put the property first of 39 eligible properties in our sample on score. That is a strong result backed by a solid number of reviews.
Guests like the location and the staff, described as a friendly, professional team who give a warm welcome and help with luggage.
The breakfast is the main complaint. It is delivered to the room in a basket, and guests find the selection limited and the dining space cramped. The breakfast style is listed as continental.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) was about €104 per night, roughly €208 in total. The sample median was about €118, so this sits below it. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Hôtel Helvétique, sits on the same street. It was about €80 per night, with 3 stars and a score of 8.1. Our Luxury pick, Maison Albar - Le Victoria, was about €407 per night, with 5 stars and a score of 9.1. AMMI Lafayette scored higher than both, which is unusual for the middle option.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 39 hotels in Nice. AMMI Lafayette took the Best Value slot because it had the strongest review-confidence score at or near the sample median price. A first-place score for a below-median price was hard to beat.
