Hotel Arvor - O'Lodges by Arvor
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it only if location is what you care about most: it sits about a minute from the Basilica of Saint-Sauveur and 4 minutes from the château. Guests report damp smells and dusty carpets, and our Best Value pick cost just €0.65 more a night for a higher score, so compare both first.

This is our Budget pick in Dinan. It suits travellers who want to step straight out into the historic centre, people on foot and those who value a warm welcome. Family rooms, facilities for disabled guests, a 24-hour front desk and free Wi-Fi are listed, and the listing is tagged as pet-friendly.
Skip it if you are sensitive to smells or allergies, or if cleanliness is your top priority. There are multiple guest reports of damp smells, mouldy odours and dusty carpets. That is a real weakness, and it is the main reason to look at our other two picks.
Location and getting around
The address is 5 rue Auguste Pavie. Guests describe it as in the historic centre, within walking distance of restaurants and sights. The location score is 9.6 out of 10, very high.
The Basilica of Saint-Sauveur is about 0.1 km away, roughly 1 minute on foot, and the Château de Dinan is 0.3 km away, about 4 minutes. The Temple of Mars in Corseul is 7.9 km away, about 99 minutes walking, so it is far and needs a car, taxi or public transport. All times are straight-line estimates, not verified routes.
Beach appears in the provider's facilities list, but that does not confirm a beach nearby or a walking distance to one. Check a map if the coast is part of your plan.
What guests say
The score is 8.2 out of 10 from 743 reviews. Guests like the location in the historic centre, close to restaurants and sights, and the friendly, helpful staff who give a warm welcome.
The complaint is cleanliness, and it is not a one-off: multiple reports mention damp smells, mouldy odours and dusty carpets. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was €83.82 per night. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Here the gap between picks is tiny. Our Best Value pick, Hôtel Marguerite, was €84.47 per night with a score of 8.6. Our Luxury pick, Mercure Dinan Port Le Jerzual, a 4-star, was €102.81 per night with a score of 8.8. For 65 cents more a night, the Best Value option scored 0.4 higher on these reference prices. If prices on your dates look similar, that comparison deserves a hard look.
Breakfast is listed as a buffet. Whether it is included is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Dinan. After the upscale slot was reserved, this had the lowest eligible reference price, 16% below the sample median of €99.61 per night. Its guest score was joint fourth of the 5, so it earned the Budget slot on price and location rather than on reviews. We think you should know that.
Before you book
Read the most recent reviews for any mention of damp or cleaning, and ask the hotel about the room you are offered. Check today's price against Hôtel Marguerite before deciding. Confirm breakfast inclusion, cancellation terms and, if you bring a pet, the rules and fees. Compare the live rate with the €83.82 reference.
